V for Vendetta Graphic Novel

Some of you guys may remember the movie, V for Vendetta, from back in 2006 I think. I recently watched the movie again and it certainly caught my interest. I didn’t really pay attention the first time I watched it near its release. If you can’t tell by this point… I loved the movie after watching it again. Unfortunately it left me with the “I want more” attitude. Don’t take that as me saying I wanted another movie. (Although if it was done well I would be open to the idea of another movie.) I just wanted to expand on the story at hand. Luckily, I found out that before the movie there was the V for Vendetta comic.

As soon as I heard this was in existence I knew I had to go buy it. So I did. Now distributed as a graphic novel, it is essentially a comic book. The story in it is very deep and sounds like something from a novel though. I would say it’s not your usual comic. As soon as I picked it up I couldn’t stop reading it. Even after watching the movie recently, it was a different take on the story. Naturally, the whole book > movie argument comes up. I am not ready to say either one is any better then the other. While they are the same basic thing, they both have some differences that make them unique. One example would be the ending (no spoilers for anyone wanting to read though). So if you have watched the movie, or have a general interest in V for Vendetta, I highly recommend picking this book up. The story and art are great and will leave you blown away by the end.

Oh, and… England Prevails.
